IF THIS IS YOU - I didn’t think that this would ever get better! Thankfully yes, and you can get there with a few tweaks:

1. Be fully present with them when you are together. Have no regrets about not enjoying the little time you have in each other’s presence. 😌

2. Let the emotions out 🔥 - Don’t hold back the tears while saying goodbye, or the day after if you feel a little numb in the moment. Even be present with your numbness, make space for the experience and resist the urge to drown yourself in a Netflix episode or your studies on the way home. This helps you move through the emotions rather than bottling them up and feeling the resistance for many days afterwards.

3. Remind yourself of the life you are building at home, and all the gratitude you may have for being with your friends, family, career, etc. You are not a victim of your LDR, you are an empowered person who gets to live this life fully. 💪 When you feel emotionally available, make sure you consciously put energy into these things that nourish you at home.
